Cyn Kitchen received her B.A. in English/Writing from Knox College and her M.F.A. in Writing from Spalding University. Her first book, Ten Tongues: stories, was published in the fall of 2010 by MotesBooks of Louisville, Kentucky. Cyn's fiction and nonfiction have also appeared in numerous journals, among them: The Minnetonka Review, Carve, Opium, Ars Medica and Menda City Review. Though her work is heavily influenced by her Midwestern upbringing, Cyn has a soft spot for writers from the American south and is especially influenced by the work of Flannery O'Connor.
