The Knox College Women's Chorale will perform its fall concert, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10, in Kresge, Ford Center for the Fine Arts, Knox College, Galesburg, IL. The performance is free and open to the public.
The choir will perform Renaissance, folk and contemporary music, both with a cappella and with accompaniment. The choir is directed by Tim Pahel, a member of the music faculty at Carl Sandburg College.
Choir members are Janeen Kremer, Nitya Jacob, Beth Mushill, Beth Marzoni, Rachel Smith, Ann Heys, Virginia McCreary, Kirsten Block, Kristy McDonald, Amanda Steiger, Kara Benton, Julie Mitchell, Min-Jung Kang and Kate Liebelt. Helen Scharber will accompany on piano.
Founded in 1837, Knox is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with 1,220 students from 47 states and 41 nations. Knox's "Old Main," a National Historic Landmark, is the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
